Print Your Own
Leg Extensions

The NLR higher-set leg extensions: free, open, printable. We will not make a single euro from this. The only motivation is to push the sport forward.

Leg extension

Before you print

Print 5 extensions per set. One for each leg, obviously.

Print WITHOUT supports. This is important for the result.

Do not stack extensions on top of each other. Removing them becomes a real struggle.

Does it actually make a difference?

From what we have tested so far: yes, but modestly. We believe it brings around a 5 to 15% improvement to the game. That estimate is lower than what boundary rules or a bigger ball each produced individually, so this is a small but necessary step, not a revolution on its own.

Part of why the impact is limited is that most players, including most pro players, still lack the proper theoretical foundation to consistently position themselves and move correctly in defense. Improving the equipment and the rules matters, but improving our collective understanding of the game matters just as much.

The next steps

An even bigger ball, and a lip all around the net. The lip would prevent laser hits and serves, and it would also fix simultaneous hits, which are already a real problem at the top level and only getting worse. Higher nets are one piece of a larger puzzle.

Our mission

Spread this model as far and wide as possible. We are convinced that anyone who tries higher nets will love them, and the only way to find out is to get as many people printing and playing as possible.

So please, forward this. To your club, your teammates, your roundnet group chat. Every print matters.

On June 6th, 2026, we are hosting a tournament in Mannheim, Germany, with the best European players, played on higher sets. A proof of concept. A real test. And we need the community behind it.

From us to you

We want to be honest with you: we don't know for sure this is the right step. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. But we do know that standing still is not an option. The sport is slowly dying as things are, and we would rather try something and be wrong than do nothing at all.
